Framed Original Oil Painting - 70cm x 50cm - Magical Cabarita

$1,050.00

This original oil painting comes ready to hang in a gorgeous Tasmanian Oak floating frame.

This is one of my all time favourite paintings. It’s when I fell in love with my palette knife and used it for something other than mixing paint. In that moment, I felt like a real artist and shed my imposter syndrome. Scraping paint onto that rock face and scratching back the surface paint to expose the colours in the underpainting - then stepping back to see the result was spectacular. Carefully dabbing the water up onto the rocks. Scraping in the movement of the waves. Pure joy.

The location is at Cabarita in Northern New South Wales. Painted from one of a hundred photos I took trying to capture the waves behaving in the most picturesque way.
