This painting is of Four Mile Beach at Port Douglas in North Queensland. On an evening walk, the shadows of the treeline cast long shadows on the sand and into the water. The tide just starting to retreat.
Wet sand is one of my favourite things to paint as well as sky reflected in the shallows.
