This painting was enjoyable to make with the seagull teaching me that, in painting, white is never white (except when it is white). This seagull, let’s call her Shirley, has pink, purple, blue and yellow “whites”. No-one loves a reflection more than I do - the movement of the water make it perfectly imperfect.
